Samsung has just released its new cloud gaming service on its Android terminals. A feature that allows all users to enjoy mobile titles without the need to download them. Will this little revolution be followed?
Cloud gaming has now become mainstream with services such as GeForce Now and Xbox Game Pass. Samsung also wants its piece of the pie with its brand new functionality. The particularity of the latter? Focus on mobile games.
The Korean brand’s online gaming service is now coming out of its beta phase. However, this version 1.0 is currently only available in North America. For Europe, you will have to show a little patience, Samsung not having given a set date. We can imagine that it will arrive in the coming months.
No need to download games on Android anymore
This service is located in the Gaming HUB application and is shown completely free for all Galaxy smartphone owners. The idea is to click on a game and launch it directly, without needing to download anything to your mobile. Even greater comfort for users who do not have a lot of storage.

For Samsung, the real interest of this functionality actually lies in advertising. Indeed, the Corréenne brand indicates that 80% of downloads on Android are done via advertisements. The problem with this system is that once users click on an ad, only 5% of those who have been attracted take the trouble to install the game on their phone, because it is too long, sometimes too complicated. With this system, they can directly start a game.
Samsung speaks of a revolution regarding this system and argues that since the start of the beta in the United States, the number of Gaming HUB users increased by 149% in one year. Could Android cloud gaming permanently change the way we play on smartphones? Even more, will this system be taken over by the competition? We’ll see it soon enough.
