More precisely, the Redmond firm is announcing in preview Microsoft Edge Game Assist, a version of the browser directly integrated into the game. This new feature allows, for example, to consult an article on the game currently running in a side pane at right of the screen.

Simply press the Win+G shortcut to open the panel and resize it. This integrated browser is linked to the Microsoft account. This therefore means that it uses the same information from the user profile, with the possibility of finding their favorites, their browsing history or even form filling information.

But Microsoft has gone a little further and even immediately returns a selection of contextual articles depending on the game in progress. William Devereux, senior product manager for Edge, explains that 40% of players are looking for tips or guides to advance their progression. The company intends to enrich this database, which is currently only available in English, but announces that it has already compiled several pieces of information for the following games:

  • Baldur’s Gate 3
  • Diablo IV
  • Fortnite
  • Hellblade II: Senua’s Saga
  • League of Legends
  • Minecraft
  • Overwatch 2
  • Roblox
  • Valuing
