The Xiaomi Magnetic Power Bank 5000 site appeared on the brand’s global website. This accessory was launched in China earlier this year. This is the second model to arrive on Xiaomi’s global website in recent weeks, following the Ultra Slim Power Bank 5000 mAh Ultra Slim Power Bank 5000mAh.
The Magnetic Power Bank 5000 is designed for iPhone 12 and iPad iPhone 12 and later, wirelessly charging devices at up to 7.5W. There’s also a bi-directional USB-C port, allowing you to charge a second gadget simultaneously; the maximum combined output is 10W. The USB-C port offers up to 18W output and 20W maximum input, with a full charge taking just over two hours. As the name suggests, the model has a capacity of 5,000 mAh, which should allow you to fully charge an iPhone 15 according to Xiaomi. Other features include pass-through charging support, LED indicators, and NTC temperature control technology.
The power bank is compact, measuring 103.7 x 68.3 x 12 mm (~4.1 x 2.7 x 0.5 inches). It is unclear when the Xiaomi Magnetic Power Bank 5000 will be launched worldwide and at what price. As a guide, the accessory cost 129 yuan (~$18) when it was launched in China. In the meantime, you can look to competing models like the Anker 621 Magnetic Battery (MagGo), currently available for $39.99 on Amazon.
