Powkiddy has just unveiled a new gaming handheld, while Anbernic has started officially teasing its own. As a reminder, the former unveiled the Powkiddy V10 earlier this month before announcing launch pricing on its website a week later. On the other hand, Anbernic appears to be close to releasing the RG40XX H, which we covered separately.

As expected, the Powkiddy V10 is available for $39.99 in beige, gray, transparent black, and transparent purple. While the gaming console comes with a 64GB MicroSD card by default, Powkiddy sells all colors with a 128GB card for an extra $10. Separately, the company’s website suggests that the V10 could ultimately be sold for $20 more than its launch price. However, we have not found an effective date for a possible price increase.

Regardless, the Powkiddy V10 measures 103.2 x 94 x 22.5mm. So it’s a small device, with a 3.5-inch screen and a 3,000 mAh battery. Additionally, Powkiddy equips the V10 with a Rockchip RK3326 chipset and 1GB of DDR3L RAM, a combination we’ve already seen in other retro gaming consoles, including the Powkiddy MagicX XU10 console (currently $64.50 on Amazon). Please see the Powkiddy website for more details.
