The update, which begins rolling out today, will bring some features from the Galaxy Watch Ultra and Galaxy Watch7 to previous generations of Galaxy Watches worldwide, including the Galaxy Watch6, Galaxy Watch6 Classic, Galaxy Watch5, Galaxy Watch5 Pro, Galaxy Watch4, Galaxy Watch4 Classic and Galaxy Watch FE.
The One UI 6 Watch update delivers personalized insights to more users for a holistic and comprehensive understanding of health. Also, Energy Score allows users to better understand their physical and mental state through an intuitive score calculated from various health measurements, including sleep, activity, heart rate and its variability during sleep. Users can also access personalized recommendations, provided by Galaxy AI, to improve their health. Sleep Tracking, meanwhile, provides a deeper, more accurate understanding of sleep with detailed analysis powered by an advanced AI algorithm and new sleep metrics including sleep movements, sleep latency , heart rate and respiratory rate. Additionally, the FDA-cleared Sleep Apnea De Novo feature is available starting April 2025 in Europe on a wider range of Galaxy Watch devices, helping more users spot early warning signs. potential signs of moderate to severe sleep apnea.
With the One UI 6 Watch extension, more users will be able to stay motivated and achieve their fitness goals through personalized experiences. They can track their progress in real time while running or cycling with Race, which compares changes in current and past performance to help them improve. Workout Routine allows them to combine different exercises and create personalized routines, tailored to their goals and preferences.
Additionally, the latest update offers new watch faces that are both stylish and functional to meet different needs or preferences. For example, the Simple Digital dial reflects a minimalist design, or the Ultra Info Board dial allows you to check information at a glance without compromising on style. The expanded version of One UI 6 Watch also offers users smoother experiences with connected Galaxy devices. With a compatible Galaxy smartphone, they can effortlessly send tailored responses using AI-powered Suggested Replies. Finally, simple and intuitive Double Pinch Gestures make it easy to control a connected Galaxy smartphone from the wrist to answer calls, silence alarms, take photos and more.
