The RedMagic Gaming Laptop 16 Pro was introduced at the MWC Shanghai 2024 event. It is the company’s first gaming laptop, and it comes with performance-oriented specifications. Specifically, it is equipped with Intel Core i9 14900HX which is a high-end Raptor Lake series processor.

RedMagic has paired this processor with the Nvidia RTX 4070, a high-end laptop GPU. This gaming laptop features a “6 series aviation-grade aluminum alloy” chassis, and the company says it features a “MacBook-level” finish (8 GB 2024 current MacBook Air. $949 on Amazon). Official renders and the demo unit shown at the event show a sleek build.

Additionally, official renders show the device in two colors: black and white. Both are equipped with an RGB backlit keyboard. Additionally, the Gaming Laptop 16 Pro has a generous number of ports, including multiple USB-A ports, two USB-C ports, Ethernet, and an HDMI port.

As for the display, RedMagic has equipped the gaming laptop with a 16-inch panel with 2.5K resolution, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, and 16:1 aspect ratio. with a resolution of 2.5K and a 16:10 ratio. The company hasn’t given any pricing details yet, and we don’t know if the computer will be released outside of China. However, the launch is scheduled for July 3, so we won’t need to wait long to find out more.
