NVIDIA intends to empty all available stocks even before the release of the new models in order 1/ not to cause competition between its own models and 2/ not to have to lower the prices of the RTX 40 to sell them.
Thus, according to the source of our colleagues from VideoCardzthe GeForce RTX 4070 and RTX 4070 SUPER should no longer be produced within two to three weeks maximum, and current production is already much lower than one or two months ago. It's even worse for the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, whose inventories are said to be at their lowest.
For this model, launched only at the beginning of the year, there should be no more stocks within a few days, if this is not already the case. This is obviously not better for the GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER. Its production has almost already been stopped, and stocks are decreasing rapidly. Of course, there is no question of talking about the RTX 4090, completely absent from wholesalers' stocks.
All this to highlight the perfect handover orchestrated by NVIDIA which, unlike past transitions, will no longer have a previous generation card when the new one is released. The only good news for selling users is that this should prevent the prices of used cards from dropping too much. We console ourselves as best we can.
