The reception was certainly mixed, Unknown 9 nonetheless remains a transmedia project. It is in this context that the license releases season 2 of podcast Out of Sight and the 4th volume of comics The Torment.
The universe of Unknown 9 follows the destiny of several dozen characters in a world of interconnected mysteries told on numerous media (comics, podcasts, novels, web series, etc.) which, consumed in any order or independently, form a vast web in space and time.
Unknown 9: Out of Sight is a podcast chronicling the adventures of Blake and Lazari, two paranormal investigators who travel across the United States to record the extraordinary stories of ordinary people. In the second season, available today, the duo joined the ranks of the Leap Year Society to investigate a mysterious artifact whose trail leads them straight into the clutches of the Ascendants, the terrible rivals of the LYS. Will they manage to escape?
Written by Jessica Kincaid and produced by West End Media, season 2 ofOut of Sight was recorded in three countries across five time zones. She uses binaural sound technology to create a deeply immersive experience… but entirely in English.
This week also marks the release of the 4th volume of the comics Unknown 9: Torment. Written by Brandon Thomas and illustrated by Francis Portelathe series tells the adventures of Jaden Crowe.
