The next session of the Video Game Meetings of the National Library of France will take place on Thursday November 28, 2024, at 6 p.m., in the small auditorium of the François-Mitterrand site, Paris 13th: Ukraine? : video game studios facing war.
This round table will be devoted to the effects of the war on Ukrainian video game studios, faced, since February 2022, with the aggression of their country by Russia. The consequences of the conflict will be considered in their diversity, from their impact on the daily and material functioning of the studios to their influence on the content of the games produced, including the new solidarity initiatives which are organized around the studios and their gaming communities.
To discuss it, this round table, moderated by Françoise Daucé (EHESS), will bring together Wael Amr, founder of the Frogwares studio (Sherlock Holmes, The Sinking City…), and Oleg Yavorsky, from VG Entertainment (Fear the Wolves), who will testify to the effects of the war on their work and their new projects.
