The latest Nintendo Direct presentation revealed a wide variety of games coming to the Nintendo Switch console in 2024 and beyond, including the first look at “Metroid Prime 4: Beyond” and the reveal of “The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom,” as well as new information regarding games from Nintendo partners.
The trailer for “Metroid Prime 4: Beyond” offers a first look at the gaming experience of Samus Aran’s new mission, which will arrive on Nintendo Switch in 2025. The new “The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom” comes to Nintendo Switch on September 26, 2024, where players will play as the noble princess of Hyrule, Zelda. A Nintendo Switch Lite console inspired by “The Legend of Zelda” series will also be available at launch.
Nintendo also unveiled “Mario & Luigi: Brothership,” an all-new maritime entry in the adventure role-playing game series featuring the Mario brothers, available on November 7, 2024; “Super Mario Party Jamboree”, where you are invited to join Mario and his friends for the biggest Mario Party to date on a huge island paradise, offered on October 17, 2024; and the return of “Donkey Kong” with the announcement of the game “Donkey Kong Country Returns HD” which offers HD visuals and additional levels from the Nintendo 3DS version, available on January 16, 2025.
A host of games from Nintendo’s partner publishers and developers were also showcased, including “Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake,” an epic fantasy adventure that expands and enhances the original classic role-playing game, releasing November 14, 2024; “Lego Horizon Adventures,” an action game featuring machine hunter Aloy and her friends in the world of Horizon recreated in LEGO bricks and available this holiday season; and “MARVEL vs. CAPCOM Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics,” a superhero clash across seven classic arcade games, coming later this year.
