“Call of Duty BO6”: a strong comeback for the legendary saga

And the bet is quite successful! Indeed, Black Ops 6 finally returns to the original Call of Duty formula and seems on the right track to win back the hearts of its most fervent fans. On the campaign side, Activision and Treyarch offer us a story that is not very original but is based on well-established mechanisms for the license: a big Hollywood spectacle, a storyline with twists and turns and varied missions. Without being a real favorite, this single-player campaign holds its place and allows you to forget the awful Moder Warfare III.

But the majority of players will tell you that Call of Duty is mainly played for its multiplayer. And there, Treyarch has done well by offering an experience that is very close to the great moments of the saga. We therefore find very fluid and nervous movements, rather well balanced weapons (an update has already reduced certain overly powerful tools) and a real impression of playing a Call of Duty, a feeling which had lost in recent years. We will nevertheless regret the heterogeneity of the cards. Indeed, while some are perfectly designed in the spirit of the series, others are simply unplayable as the spawns and level design are so poor. Not enough to draw a line under this good opus but we keep our fingers crossed that the next updates bring better quality maps.

A few days before the launch of season 1 and the opening of Warzone, the Call of Duty license seems to have regained its splendor and we can only rejoice about it. On the networks, many players have abandoned their games (notably EA Sports FC) in order to fully immerse themselves in the license. A successful return to the forefront for Activision and Treyarch!
