The Asus ROG Phone 8 is a powerful smartphone, there’s no doubt about that. The power it releases with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and the 12 God e RAM is more than enough for that.
But he doesn’t just want to appeal to gamers. The Asus ROG Phone 8 has a sober design to please any user looking for power, to do everything you want on it. So, it still sports the AuraRGB multicolor LED on the back, to illuminate the ROG logo. Pro and Pro Edition models can display messages and images.
It shines everywhere, except maybe in the photo
Quick overview from the owner: the Asus ROG Phone 8 measures 163.8 x 76.8 x 8.9 mm for 225 grams. A somewhat heavy model, more than average in any case, but which fits well in the hand. The screen is a 6.78″ Samsung panel which displays Full HD+ which supports HDR10 and which has a variable refresh rate from 1 to 165 Hz.
The battery offers a day’s autonomy, which remains fair considering its power, and you benefit from 65W fast charging. The only downside of this device is its photo block, a little behind despite a 50 Mpx main sensor, a 32 Mpx telephoto lens and a 13 Mpx panorama. Despite everything, it allows you to record in 8K at 24 fps max, or in 4K at 60 fps. But you shouldn’t be too demanding about quality.
