A 50″ Samsung 4K QLED TV for only €375? Yes, it’s possible!

Inexpensive QLED TVs are not numerous at Samsung. However, it is possible to come across small nuggets at very low prices, like the Samsung 50Q60C model, which can currently cost you 375.30 euros instead of 499.99 euros at Cdiscount thanks to a reduction and VAT refund.

While it is not uncommon to find complete and inexpensive QLED TVs within the ranges of brands like Hisense or TCL, which traditionally offer more aggressive prices than the average, it is much rarer to find low prices of alongside certain market behemoths, such as Samsung. However, it is not impossible, the proof with the 50Q60C model, which has a solid technical sheet, but which currently costs less than 400 euros.

The strong points of the Samsung 50Q60C QLED TV

  • A 50-inch 4K QLED panel
  • HDR10, HDR10+, HLG compatible
  • Multiple audio technologies

First priced at 499.99 euros, the Samsung 50Q60C QLED TV is currently offered at 449.99 euros at Cdiscount. But thanks to a refund offer, valid until June 19, 2024the TV can return to you 375.30 euros.

Ultra-thin design and consistently excellent image quality

Like a large number of the brand’s references, the Samsung 50Q60C QLED TV sports a particularly elegant design, with its very thin frame which gives it this premium appearance. In addition, its almost invisible borders around the screen allow you to properly immerse yourself in each content viewed. It’s not just the looks that exude quality here: the screen is just as pleasing to the eye.

It must be said that its 50-inch 4K panel allows us to benefit from all the advantages of QLED, a display technology which notably offers beautiful contrasts and well-detailed images. The screen also supports HDR formats (HDR10, HDR10+, HLG), but as is customary with Samsung, Dolby Vision is completely absent. Regardless, the images displayed should be sufficiently bright and well detailed, in both light and shadow areas.

A refined sound part

In terms of audio quality, if Samsung wanted to skip Dolby Atmos, the brand still relied on several in-house technologies which make it possible to improve the sound of each scene. Thus, with the OTS Lite (Object Tracking Sound) function, the sound faithfully follows the movement of an object or person on the screen, while the Q-Symphony function allows the speakers of a soundbar with those of the TV, which gives more depth to each content.

Furthermore, the Samsung 50Q60C TV also offers several gaming-oriented functions, such as the Motion Xcelerator, which optimizes image fluidity in real time, or the ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode), which considerably reduces latency by automatically switching to a mode provided for this purpose. The Gaming Hub, the brand’s streaming game platform, is also integrated. On the other hand, no HDMI 2.1 ports here, which prevents you from playing on a next-gen console in the best conditions. Finally, the television runs under the brand’s in-house operating system, Tizen OS, and is compatible with the brand’s SmartThings home automation system. The voice assistants Alexa, Google Assistant and Bixby are also there to collect all your voice requests.
