Death Stranding was released digitally on Xbox, in complete secrecy.
Xbox players probably no longer expected to one day be able to play Death Stranding on their machine. Certainly, the publisher 505 Games had delivered a port of the game to PC, but until now there was nothing to say that the title would also be available on Xbox. Kojima’s game was de facto presumed to have been heavily financed by Sony. It will have benefited from exclusivity on Sony platforms for several years.
Kojima Productions, however, announced the good news this Thursday, specifying that the studio had recovered all the rights to its game and was now decided to bring it to as many media as possible. The Xbox is therefore first served, before a potential release on Switch 2.
Another good surprise for PlayStation players, the title is offered at less 50% for its launch period, or at €19.99. However, it is not integrated into the Gamepass. Finally, note that the PC version of the game has just been delisted.
