An ad for a $90 meal at McDonald’s confuses the web

For a long time, McDonald’s was known as a place where you could eat for NOT TOO much money.

Obviously, with the cost of living skyrocketing in recent years, so have the fast food giant’s menu prices.

However, a recent promotion advertised on Facebook seemed overblown, even with 2024 inflation.

The ad advertised 10 McCroquettes, a McChicken, a happy feast of 4 McCroquettes and two fries for 90 dollars and 75 cents.

Under the since-deleted publication, several thousand perplexed Internet users criticized the astronomical cost of the promotion which, under normal circumstances, should cost barely half the displayed price.

Others seemed to think it was a joke. However, the page was called McDonald’s and even had a little blue checkmark.

A quick check was enough to realize that the page in question was the official account of McDonald’s in Trinidad.

90 Trinidadian dollars is equivalent to 18 Canadian dollars.

Which is no worse bargain.

Everyone is encouraged to take some time to check their facts before getting angry next time.
