Be Camaïeu, the former ready-to-wear brand that has become Celio's women's line since its acquisition in September 2022, understands this well. To meet the demand of fashionistas, Be Camaïeu has just unveiled an exclusive collection, called
Chamonix-Mont-Blanc which includes this lovely
puffy jacket sleeveless.
Be Camaïeu is planning numerous store openings and various news such as its collection dedicated to skiing.
Acclaimed by French women for its basic and essential, which inspired its new name “Be” Camaïeu, the brand, founded in 1984 by Dominique Debruyne, Éric Vandendriessche, Jean Duforest and Jean-Pierre Torck, is enjoying resounding success, as Mikaella Abittan, Managing Director, revealed to us exclusively. deputy of Be Camaïeu for whom “the return of Camaïeu in the form of 'Be Camaïeu' received a very positive reception, with a good start in our points of sale“.

And “palpable enthusiasm“, thanks to “the inclusive and participatory approach“from the women's fashion brand that advances hand in hand with”ambassadors who play a key role in co-creation“. However, the stakes were high to take over the brand which had been liquidated by the Lille commercial court, and which was indeed able to bounce back, as attested by the numerous
store openings and the brand's fashion news, like its collection dedicated to winter sports.

What is the difference between a down jacket and a parka?
Often confused with a parka, the down jacket has some differences with its counterpart. Indeed, although they are both dedicated to protection from the cold, the down jacket is originally lined with down (goose or duck feathers) or synthetic materials which create a “puffy” effect. to trap air and retain heat. For its part, the parka is generally filled with down or wool, or even thicker, weather-resistant outer fabrics, such as waterproof or windproof materials. A major difference being the length and cut of these outerwear.

And for good reason, the down jacket is generally shorter and fitted, while the parka stops lower, covering the hips and sometimes up to the thighs, to better protect against wind and bad weather and is often equipped with a hood, with or without fur. Another point of dissimilarity is their weight. In fact, the parka is heavier than a down jacket, which is designed to be compressible, which makes it easy to store and transport.
The most rain-resistant would probably be the parka, since it is made to withstand wet and windy climates, while the down jacket is more dedicated to dry climates, which makes it less efficient in the rain, except if it is covered with a water-repellent fabric.
