In The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, weapons break. A particular feature probably wanted by the developers to force the player to explore the first open world of the series. Seven years later, players are struggling to get around the problem… and even succeeding with the best weapons in the game.
The best weapon in the game Unbreakable, reserved for DLC players
In 2017, Nintendo decided to make its revolution. The console that is the Switch brings together the world of the portable console and the home console, two worlds that are well distinguished by Nintendo. It was on March 3 of that year that it was released with, as a launch game, Zelda: Breath of the Wild. An episode that shakes up the codes of this legendary series on several levels. The weapons system is one of these modifications and Link must deal with weapons that break: it is impossible to keep the same one throughout the adventure. A principle that is debated among players, and even at home.
So on the one hand there are those who appreciate having to vary the pleasures and others who are frustrated to see their efforts to find a good blade reduced to nothing by its durability. But some have managed to get around the problem by making their weapons unbreakable. There's the tip regarding the Master Sword… but it's not the best combat instrument in the game. It's something else, something that content creator Gaming Reinvented dissects through an article and a Youtube video.
Several prerequisites, a long process
Roughly speaking, Gaming Reinvented explains step by step the method of a glitch (a game malfunction exploited by players) to take advantage of the strongest weapon in Breath of the Wild without compensation. This is the Sudden Death Tetrabladea weapon exclusive to the Ode to Prodigies DLC. Like the Master Sword, it is unbreakable but has limited power. While it can kill enemies in a single hit, it can only be used twice in a row.
To benefit from the blade without compensation, you must therefore follow a long and complicated process detailed by Gaming Reinvented requiring certain prerequisites. You must have completed three of the four sanctuaries in the DLC quest, have access to the archery mini-gamehave your own house as well as a slot for a weapon as well as an additional save in the last shrine of the Ode to Wonders.
You must then follow a process reserved for the most determined. It's funny to see that even today when everyone is waiting for the successor to the Nintendo Switch, players are still discovering things about the game that launched the console seven years ago.
