Hard blow for Mustache Bikes. The French electric bike specialist is the subject of a major recall affecting its Friday and Sunday ranges. The cause: a potentially dangerous problem with the carbon forks.

The French manufacturer Mustache Bikes, known for its high-end electric bikes, is the subject of a recall campaign.

This decision specifically concerns the Friday 28, Dimanche 28 and Dimanche 29 models, equipped with carbon forks presenting a potential risk of rupture. And as they say in the industry, it’s not an OTA update that will fix that – you’ll have to go to your dealer.

Premium models affected

The recall particularly affects the Gravel and Road versions of the mentioned ranges, equipped with carbon forks. These models, positioned in the high-end segment, represent a significant investment for their owners, with prices generally oscillating between €3,500 and €5,000. The weakness identified is at the level of the fork pivot, a crucial element for the safety of the cyclist.

Mustache Bikes can count on its vast network of partners. The Vosges company can rely on more than 200 approved resellers across to carry out the necessary checks and replacements.
