It is with this in mind that he seeks out exclusive brands like Cattelan Italia or Gamma, known for its handmade living rooms. A few years later, he even managed to represent Fendi Casa, thus becoming the only multi-brand store located in a working-class neighborhood to be an official distributor! We will therefore not be surprised that D-Style receives visits from wealthy clients who entrust it with the decoration of their residence. This international influence has enabled him to increase his turnover tenfold since 2008. “My mission”, he likes to remind us, “is to make a global proposition to provide the customer with increased comfort, both functionally and in terms of aesthetic. Often, the villa we are working on is not finished. The challenge is to make our clients dream, even if they already have everything!
His projects, both residential and commercial, reflect his taste for elegance, refinement and meticulous attention to detail. As for the formula for his success, it is based, according to him, on three ingredients: the geographical position of the property, the owners and, of course, his meticulous intervention as a designer-decorator. He points out in passing that D-Style is the only store in Europe to manage some 180 different brands. That’s to say we’re spoiled for choice! “I am in love with beautiful things. For me, furniture is a masterpiece, and my gaze is that of a photographer. A beautiful interior is one that resembles you. However, everyone is different. The true definition of luxury is in personalization”, he points out, giving as an example his intervention on an exceptional residence located in Casablanca and belonging to a real estate magnate.
This simple decorating tip will allow you to create a harmonious interior
Reinterpreting the codes of luxury and elegance, his project perfectly combines Moroccan craftsmanship and Italian design, creating a harmony that is both refined and warm. To dress the vast volumes of this villa, he opted for tailor-made creations, such as a fabric sofa with camel leather details, which brings a subtle touch of warmth to the main living room. Among the exceptional pieces, a Murano glass chandelier, inspired by Moroccan tea sets, sits in the dining room, symbolizing the fusion of the two cultures. At the entrance, another, made up of hundreds of glass stars, evokes a night sky, transporting visitors into an almost dreamlike universe as soon as they arrive. Finally, in the living room, a set of chrome tubes and hanging crystals reflect the immensity of the room while maintaining a delicate transparency, thus highlighting the majesty of the fireplace wall. A marriage of grandeur and elegance which, however, does not overload the space.
This project, completed in a few months, illustrates Ismaël Boufrahi’s ability to design impressive spaces while preserving conviviality and harmony. Our man, however, denies that he only works for wealthy clients. “Above all, I want to restore the importance of the home and ensure that family life can flourish in the best conditions. A notion that seems, unfortunately, to be lost more and more.”
