Multimedia oriented, the thin and light silver aluminum laptop Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 16AHP9 (83DD003WFR) benefits from a powerful AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS Hawk Point processor with Radeon 780M graphics which accelerates processing like the 16 GB of RAM and the fast 512 GB SSD storage which reinforces responsiveness. This elegant Windows 11 laptop with a 16-inch IPS Full HD anti-glare screen is also equipped with a biometric authentication solution by facial recognition with its Infrared webcam as well as connectivity with Wi-Fi 6E and microSD card reader, but ignores the keyboard backlighting.

It has a sober and elegant look with its thin and light Cloud Gray silver aluminum design.
The connectivity integrated into this multimedia laptop PC is good, including 2 USB-C, a useful HDMI video output to easily connect it to a TV or a monitor for example, Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 6E ax wireless modules for communicate and connect remotely, an audio port, a microSD card reader as well as 2 USB 3.0 (USB 2.0 compatible) providing transfers up to 5 times faster than USB 2.0 if USB 3.0 devices are connected.
Some will appreciate being able to authenticate biometrically by facial recognition via the infrared functionality of the webcam and Windows Hello technology.
It’s a shame, however, to note the absence of backlighting on the chiclet keyboard, which is incomprehensible at this price level…
The screen also disappoints with its classic colorimetry, inferior to that provided by high-end IPS. At least the vertical and horizontal viewing angles are important.
Suitable for videos due to its 16:9 format, the Full HD screen has an anti-reflective treatment ensuring better visibility in bright environments (e.g. outdoors) than a glossy panel.

The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 16AHP9 (83DD003WFR) is a versatile 16/10th laptop PC with high performance in terms of creative-oriented processor.
It is in fact driven by an AMD Ryzen 7 8845HSHawk Point Octo Core processor which houses the Radeon 780M graphics solution, supported by 16 GB of RAM.
Demanding users will appreciate the good overall power delivered by this duo.
And in particular creators because this core ensures faster processing than a classic Quad/Hexa Core in areas demanding CPU and RAM resources taking advantage of multi-core. This is for example the case in photo editing or video editing.
On the other hand, no graphics acceleration here since no dedicated graphics card is on board.
However, thanks to the Radeon 780M, viewing photos and HD videos is possible, as is playing light to modest games.
On the storage side, Lenovo opts for a standard solution: a 512 GB SSD that is silent, robust, energy efficient and fast.
This velocity clearly enhances responsiveness and fluidity on a daily basis.
Thanks to the SSD, processing is fast, as are application launches, starts/stops and arrival on online game cards for example.
Of course, if you need additional space, you can use an external storage unit. To obtain fast transfers, you should preferably opt for a USB 3.0/USB-C device.
As for autonomy, expect around 5 hours of battery operation in light use for this model, which is as easily transportable as an Ultrabook due to its thinness and controlled weight.
Expect it to heat up and be heard when pushed hard (e.g. treatments).
To contain its temperatures, it can be combined with a ventilated support if necessary (remember to check the dimensions carefully!).
