The Snapdragon 8 Elite and Dimensity 9400 were made official in October, and a large number of smartphones equipped with these two flagship SoCs have already been announced. As for which of the two performs better in synthetic benchmarks, Qualcomm’s new 3nm SoC has taken the lead in AnTuTu’s flagship performance rankings since October 2024.
Specifically, the Snapdragon 8 Elite-equipped OnePlus 13 leads with an average score of 2,926,644. The iQoo 13 with the same SoC closely follows the former, securing the second spot on the list with an average score of 2,906,489. When it comes to MediaTek’s new flagship SoC, the Dimensity 9400-equipped Vivo X200 Pro put up a good fight.
This phone takes third place on the list, with an average score of 2,843,812. It is followed by the Find X8 Pro and the non-Pro Find average scores of 2,842,922 and 2,814,445, respectively.
Vivo’s announced, presents a similar situation. Although it is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite, it ranks seventh with an average of 2,546,330.
Other phones on the list are the Vivo X200 Pro mini, Xiaomi 15 Pro and iQoo Neo 9S Pro+. Of all the phones in AnTuTu’s October flagship smartphone rankings, only the Neo9S Pro+ is powered by the latest generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. But as the list shows, it’s not far behind the Xiaomi 15 Pro.
This suggests that the Snapdragon 8 Elite contained in the Xiaomi 15 series may not yet be ready to achieve high scores in benchmark tests. But again, summary benchmark scores are one of the many criteria you should consider before buying a smartphone. It’s also worth noting that AnTuTu’s rankings aren’t the same every month. It is therefore possible that Xiaomi’s new flagship phones will move up in the next ranking.
