Premeditated by a recent beta, personalized lists are finally here in WhatsApp. Through a blog post published this Thursday, October 31, private messaging has indeed confirmed the launch of this new feature, which will delight the biggest chatterboxes.

Complementing the discussion filters launched a few months ago, these lists give users the possibility of grouping and finding discussions in the same place.

“Whether they consist of family members, work colleagues, or people in your neighborhood, lists allow you to focus on the most important conversations, when you need them.”explains WhatsApp.

To create a list, simply scroll down the filter bar at the top of the WhatsApp home page, and tap the button +. From then on, all that remains is to give it a name and add individual or group discussions to it.

After that, the lists created can quickly be accessed in the filter bar, more precisely to the right of the one dedicated to Groups.

Please note, the lists are currently rolling out, which means not all users have access to them at this time. WhatsApp in fact emphasizes that the functionality will be available to everyone “in the coming weeks”.
