While the first trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) is about to reach its eleventh month of existence, today we are entitled to some very small “information” which comes from a former employee of Rockstar. The latter no longer works for the studio, but still maintains a strong link with the company and certainly his former colleagues. Interviewed by the YouTube channel GTAVIoclockBen Hinchliffe, former designer, therefore gave himself up.
Ben Hinchliffe is a British video game designer who worked at Rockstar Games. He has contributed to major projects such as Grand Theft Auto V, Red Dead Redemption 2 and LA Noire. In 2021, he left Rockstar to join studio Just Add Water as lead designer. Since then, he has worked on projects like YouVRa virtual reality game developed by Just Add Water and published by Wired Productions. What do you mean we met him at Gamescom?
“So I just think it’s going to blow people’s minds. It will sell an absolute ton like it always does. People will be talking about it for ages, just like they did with GTA 5 and, yeah, I’m really, really excited for people to get their hands on it and play it, just because I think Rockstar has taken it up again the bar. They still do it, and they did it again on GTA 6.”
This is not the first time such claims have been made by former employees. Rockstar will once again set the bar very high.
