Xiaomi's latest novelty is inflating

After an initial launch in China this summer, Xiaomi is launching the marketing of its Portable Electric Air Compressor 2 Pro in several markets around the world. This second generation portable compressor presents significant improvements in terms of speed and capacity compared to its predecessor of the same name but without the “pro”, already well received for its practicality.

Well-inflated tires in no time

The Pro model offers a quick solution for users, with the ability to inflate 205/55 R16 size car tires from 2.0 to 2.5 bar in approximately 45 seconds, much faster than the previous model, which needed two minutes for a similar task.

The device has five preset inflation modes, including for cars, motorcycles and bicycles, as well as customizable settings to adapt the pressure according to the specific needs of the cyclist or motorist. Once the target pressure is reached, the compressor stops automatically, which ensures the best precision and a good level of safety. A digital screen makes it possible to follow the evolution of the swelling in real time, which will make life easier for all those who are unfamiliar with this type of equipment.

Autonomy is another major advantage of the compressor. It is equipped with a 2,500 mAh battery (greater than the 2,000 mAh of the previous model), and it is capable of inflating up to 16 car tires or 30 bicycle tires on a single charge. Fully recharges in 3.5 hours via USB-C port. Xiaomi has also equipped the device with a multifunctional indicator light, which can act as a flashlight or warning signal, handy when using at night or in low light conditions.

With dimensions of 152 x 100 x 63 mm and a light weight, the air compressor is easy to transport, and its small size allows it to be easily stored in the trunk of a car or a travel bag. The box includes various accessories to adapt the compressor to several types of valves and needs: an adapter for Presta valve, a needle valve for balloons, a hose extension, a type C charging cable and a user manual . Additionally, the ability to use the device in extreme temperatures, ranging from -10°C to 45°C, makes it a valuable tool for all climates.

Although prices and release dates in international markets have not yet been confirmed, the air compressor should be offered at an accessible price, as is often the case with Xiaomi – the previous compressor was priced at $45.
