iPhone and Mac compatible and cheaper!

By searching a little, you discover products as good as those of the apple giant and, most of the time, less expensive. Here are a few. (Prices rounded.)

Mili MiCard Chips

AirTag tracking chips cost $39 each or $129 for a set of four. For $27, you will find at Mili a rechargeable credit card-sized MiCard chip offering a battery life of between 4 to 6 months.

If you are looking for a chip in the same format as the AirTag, Mili offers its Mitag; $18 each or $29 for two, $40 for four. Like the AirTags, the Mitags use the same 3V CR2032 lithium batteries, good for 12 months. And they all work with the Find My app on your iPhone.

Logitech keyboards

Over the years, I have purchased two full-size Logitech keyboards, one powered by a solar sensor and its battery and the other by AAA batteries. And a third (K380) more compact for working while traveling, also using rechargeable AAA batteries. All functional after years.

On May 30, Logitech unveiled a new range of peripherals designed exclusively for Macs.

The new lineup includes the MX Keys S for Mac, MX Keys S Combo for Mac, MX Anywhere 3S for Mac, and MX Keys Mini for Mac (now in Space Gray).

All products can be used on devices running macOS or iPadOS. The keyboards also have dedicated macOS layouts and come in colors that match Apple’s Macs.

For example, the Logi MX Keys S for full-size Mac with numeric keypad has LED backlit keys, USB-C charging, and Smart Actions. Up to three different systems or devices can be associated with it; eg. a Mac, an iPad and a Windows PC.

If the Magic Keyboard and the Logi Mac OS X Keys S are sold at almost the same price ($149), the Logitech model offers more for your wallet.

Triple MagSafe charger

Apple offers its mophie 3-in-1 travel charger with MagSafe for $200.

The third-party product market offers more attractive and less expensive ones, such as those from the ESR brand. And while there are even more affordable 3-in-1 chargers, their quality and performance are often lower, with only 7.5W.

ESR offers a 15W Qi2 standard triple charging station (for iPhone 15/14/13, Apple Watch, AirPods). Officially Qi2 certified MagSafe charging allows for safer and more reliable charging at higher speeds.
