YouTube. At the end of 2024, many television personalities are deciding to launch new projects elsewhere. Their new favorite destination is… YouTube. A few weeks ago, in October, Claire Chazal opened her own channel. Accompanied by Gaspard G and his team, she imagined a new video concept called “Chez Claire”. The journalist welcomes personalities to come and discuss current affairs or a very specific fact. His first video has more than 70,000 views and 4,000 people have subscribed to his account.

At the same time, Elise Lucet also chose to invest in YouTube. For almost a year, the journalist from Televisions publishes Cash Investigation reports at an irregular pace. Then, at the end of October, she returned to the platform with a concept called “Dérush”. “With our guest, we are going to look at some fairly old reports that concern him. We will be able to see his reactions to reports that were produced before his birth and after his birth,” she explains to Brut who followed behind the scenes.

Elise Lucet invited Squeezie to her channel

For the first guest, Elise Lucet chose to invite Squeezie. The YouTuber even became the godfather of his YouTube channel. For more than an hour, they react together to old reports. We can thus find them talking about gaming or even seeing the first live broadcasts of a couple who made music from home in the early 2000s. The journalist also questioned him about his position during the legislative elections. He then wrote an open letter to his subscribers, on Instagram, to encourage them to vote against the far right. “Honestly, I did it just to say to myself: ‘in fact with the influence I have, I cannot say nothing about what is happening which I consider to be very serious,’” confides -he.

This mix of two worlds, television and the Internet, announces great projects for the future. Elise Lucet is also proud to be able to create this bridge and explains that it was “finally time” to take this step forward. “I really want to go to these formats, I think it’s great. I find it really good to mix, like that, people from “color television” and people from the Internet,” she concludes at Brut.

The show “Dérush” is offered by France Television and France Slash. The group is currently testing several areas of development on social networks, to better understand how to invest in them over the coming years.
