We are talking here about a 6000 mAh accumulator, while the standard has been 5000 mAh, or even 5400/5500 mAh, for several years. The trend would thus evolve in the months to come with the OnePlus 13, Oppo Find X8 and Realme GT6 Pro.

It therefore seems that the three manufacturers, owned by the BBK group, have found a clever balance allowing them to offer a larger battery without making the smartphones too bulky for their users.

GSMArena, which relayed the rumor, points out that Oppo’s Find X8 could be the first of these models with a 6000 mAh battery to be announced. It would arrive in October 2024, shortly after the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor was announced at Qualcomm’s annual Snapdragon Summit event.

The media adds that previous rumors suggested that the chip would consume more energy than previous generations. Ultimately, phones featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 should benefit from larger batteries in order to guarantee autonomy similar to previous models.

As a reminder, the OnePlus 12 is one of the references in terms of autonomy in this year 2024 with its 5000 mAh battery and its 100 W wired fast charging. It reaches 20 h 46 min of use via our viSer test protocol, and can be recharged from 0 to 100% in just 27 minutes.

Endurance which should continue with the arrival of the 6000 mAh battery and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip on the OnePlus 13.
