Panasonic unveils its LCD television offering with the W95A, W90A, W80A, W70A and W60A series under Fire TV, Google TV and TiVo

During an event which took place in Düsseldorf, Panasonic presented its new ranges of LCD and OLED televisions for the year 2024. In addition to the OLED models now equipped with Amazon’s Fire TV system, the brand is introducing LCD series using Fire TV, Google TV and TiVo systems. These new W95A, W90A, W80A, W70A and W60A series promise very high-level performance, suitable for both cinema enthusiasts and gamers.

Panasonic introduced its new high-end W95A and W90A series, using advanced backlight technologies to deliver superior picture quality. The W95A series, available in 55, 65 and 75 inches, uses Mini-LEDs for its backlighting, which reduces blooming effects and obtains deeper contrast. The W90A series, available in 43, 50, 55 and 65 inches, is equipped with a Full Array Local Dimming LED backlighting system, distributing the LEDs over the entire surface of the screen to guarantee better uniformity of the brightness.

Both series integrate Amazon’s Fire TV system, like Panasonic’s 2024 OLED models, providing access to a wide range of apps and streaming services. They also benefit from the integration of the Alexa voice assistant, facilitating voice control of the television and connected devices in the home. These TVs are powered by the HCX Pro AI Processor MK II, which ensures exceptional picture quality with faithful colors and precise details, supported by the Filmmaker picture mode for a viewing experience as the directors intended.

In terms of gaming, the W95A and W90A series feature VRR, FreeSync Premium, ALLM technologies and can reach a refresh rate of 144 Hz, offering ideal fluidity and responsiveness for video games. They also integrate the mode True Game, which ensures optimal fidelity of gaming images. For audio, the W95A series uses Dynamic Theater Surround technology, promising immersive and warm sound thanks to powerful woofers, while the W90A series benefits Theater Surround technology, both compatible with the Dolby Atmos format.

W80A series: LED quality under Fire TV

The W80A series TVs represent a premium option with an LED-backlit LCD panel. Available in 43, 50, 55 and 65 inches, these models display Ultra HD resolution and are powered by the Fire TV system. Alexa voice assistant integration allows intuitive voice control of TVs and connected objects. Equipped with the HCX Processor chipset, these TVs provide efficient upscaling and support HDR10+ and Dolby Vision formats for superior picture quality.

For audio, The W80A series supports Dolby Atmos, providing an immersive sound experience. These TVs are also suitable for video games, with technologies such as VRR and ALLM, as well as two HDMI 2.1 inputs, including one eARC compatible, making it easy to connect to a soundbar or amplifier for better sound quality.
Note that another series, W83A, eis also offered by the brand. This is a panel exactly identical to that of the seriese W80A mbut with a slightly different design with a silver frame, and benefiting from an additional woofer.

W70A Series: Ultra HD LED with Google TV

The Panasonic W70A series stands out for the integration of the Google TV system, offering a user-friendly interface with integrated Chromecast. Available in 43, 50, 55 and 65 inches, these televisions use an LCD panel with LED backlighting and Ultra HD definition. Google TV provides access to a vast catalog of entertainment applications and wireless streaming of audio and video content from mobile devices via the Chromecast function. Google’s voice assistant is also integrated, making it easier to control the TV’s functions.

In terms of picture quality, W70A TVs are compatible with HDR10 and Dolby Vision formats, ensuring vibrant colors and sharp details. For gamers, these models support VRR and ALLM technologies and feature multiple HDMI 2.1 inputs, providing optimal connectivity for next-generation consoles and other high-performance devices.

W60A Series: Ultra HD LED with TiVo

The W60A series represents the entry-level Panasonic LCD televisions for 2024. It is made up of models available in 43, 50, 55 and 65 inches. These televisions are equipped with LED-backlit LCD panels, displaying Ultra HD definition. They are powered by the TiVo system, which provides access to a multitude of entertainment and streaming applications, with the possibility of downloading others.

These televisions support HLG, HDR10, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos formats, ensuring a quality visual and sound experience. Gaming optimization technologies such as VRR and ALLM are also present, as well as eARC for enhanced audio connection via HDMI 2.1.

Note that another series, W63A eis also offered by the brand. This panel is exactly identical to that of the series W60A mais with a silver frame and an additional woofer.
