Alan Wake 2, Yakuza, Subnautica 2… The Xbox Partner Preview recap – News

In its great leniency, Microsoft decided to broadcast its Xbox Partner Preview at a decent time (unlike the competition), and if part of the program was already known, that did not prevent the Redmond firm from having a few surprises in his bag.

Sam Lake was one of the first to tease the presence of The Lake Housethe new DLC for Alan Wake 2 during the presentation and therefore opens the ball. On the program, a new trailer, but also and above all, a release date which will be almost a shadow drop as was the case for the first DLC Night Springs. See you on October 22 to find out all this.

Building on the good critical and public reception of Silent Hill 2, Bloober Team wastes no time and presents Cronos: The New Dawn. Unsurprisingly, it will be a horror game, but this time themed around science fiction and time travel. A very nice first trailer and a release planned for 2025 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series.

We then continue with Blindfire a team arena shooter in which players are plunged into darkness at times and will have to rely on noises to spot their opponent. An interesting concept on paper which can be tested now, with early access which began immediately after the presentation.

Announced ahead of the presentation, Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii offers a segment to present its completely crazy concept. On the program, brawls, naval battles almost reminiscent of Black Flag and madness as only the Yakuza license is capable of offering. The most important information remains the release date, brought forward from February 28 to 21.

The FPS Mouse PI for hire, which made headlines for its sticky announcement almost at the time when the 1928 Mickey Mouse fell into the public domain, announces with a new trailer its release on Xbox Series, Xbox One, PS5, PS 4 and Switch in addition to the PC version already planned. Still no specific release date, but it’s still planned for 2025.

It’s a nice treat to see the first images of Subnautica 2, even if it’s only through a cinematic trailer. Enough to see one of the big titanic monsters that we can encounter in the game, as well as confirming an arrival during 2025 in early access which will be on PC and Xbox.

After a totally heavy and unfunny trailer, Animal Well announces its arrival on Xbox now. Excellent news for an excellent game.

The Edens Zero game based on Hiro Mashima’s manga developed by Konami is alive and well and shows it with a trailer. The game is planned for Switch, PC, Xbox and Playstation with a release in 2025.

Unveiled last April by the Yellow Brick Games studio (founded in particular by Mike Laidlaw, former creative director of Dragon Age), Eternal Strands is shown again with a gameplay trailer. On the program, a presentation of the spells that can be mixed and the possibilities of magical creations given by this action RPG. A concept which looks quite fun and which is still planned for 2025 in early access on PC, Xbox Series and PlayStation 5.

For once a PvPve extraction game is not a shooter, but a third-person RPG, we’re not going to spit on it. In any case, this is the proposal of Mistfall Hunter which hopes to convince with its dark universe inspired by the Scandinavian universe. Like many games since the start of this presentation, it is planned for sometime in 2025.

The game published by Annapurna announced in July 2023 under the name Ghost Bike resurfaced, but is now called Wheel World. It not only changes its name but also its release date, going from current 2024 to early 2025.

Phasmophobia arrives on Xbox Series consoles, PS5, but also on PS VR2 for the handful of individuals equipped this October 29. Just in time for Halloween.

We don’t really know what to think of The Legend of Baloo the game seems to be eating away at all the racks. This adventure game will make us play a young boy armed with a stick and magical powers, accompanied by his big white chow-chow. An adventure game which seems quite conventional at first glance and which will be released in 2025 (again!).

Already present during the Xbox Showcase last June, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers returns to show itself. The opportunity for Chinese Souls-like to once again roll out the mechanics. Not much more to say except to admire the result.

Remedy will therefore open and close this presentation with the first images of FBC Firebreak (formerly known as Condor). A three-player cooperative game in the Control universe which is revealed through a 100% gameplay trailer. You will not be surprised to learn that this game will be released… in 2025. It will be available day one in Xbox Game Pass (PC and Ultimate) and in PlayStation Plus (Extra and Premium).
