Meteojob by ClerverConnect wants to light up the sky for job seekers and recruiters with a new version of its job board.

The job search engine of the Franco-German company, specialized since its creation in 2010 in the development of HR Tech solutions, wants to simplify the process for its visitors, while streamlining the user experience.

While the last evolution of Meteojob dates back to 2022, the new finalized version of the job board has just been put online on 10/14/2024.

What are the main areas of development for the new Meteojob? Here are the points detailed by Anne Perrin, co-founder of CleverConnect/Meteojob.

A lighter Meteojob home page

This is the main visual transformation of Meteojob: a new, refined and modernized home page, surfing on the theme of the weather.

“We fully embrace our identity. It’s a nice theme that allows you to create a caring environment for a sometimes anxiety-provoking job search process,” says Anne Perrin, co-founder of Meteojob/CleverConnect.

This project is part of a larger project to redesign the site by simplifying the application process and improving the presentation of offers for candidates.

Redesign of the mobile application

The transformation is unavoidable: the Metejob mobile application, available via the Google Play and Apple Store application marketplaces, has become the leading recruitment and audience channel generated in terms of traffic.

Its new version allows candidates to carry out searches and submit their applications more quickly.

The functionalities offered on mobile devices are “equivalent” to those available on the web version.

“We also made it simpler with more readable job offers,” comments Anne Perrin.

Deepening the matching algorithm and AI

“Beyond the use of machine learning, we recently introduced an enriched concept of career path which makes it possible to recommend that a candidate apply for jobs based on their skills that they do not necessarily think of. It’s interesting to broaden the scope of possibilities with our candidates,” says Anne Perrin.

As for recruiters, Meteojob highlights its ability to provide complementary profiles to other sources (“60% exclusive visitors and up to 90% exclusive applications for certain professions”) through innovative and personalized sourcing tools.

On the generative AI front, Meteojob continues to leverage OpenAI’s ChatGPT to help its clients write quality job offers.

“We were one of the first job boards to integrate this functionality on behalf of our clients. After an experimental phase, it is now deployed for all of our customers,” explains Anne Perrin.

In-depth work on audience capture

“This is work that we have been carrying out for 18 months and which involves optimizing SEO and complementary strategies for capturing free and paid audiences. It’s a ‘secret sauce’ internally that’s starting to bear fruit,” says Anne Perrin.

The volume of applications scrutinized

  • “We are observing a significant increase in the volume of applications: we went from 6 million in 2022 to 13 million in 2024;
  • The number of applications is an indicator that we also monitor particularly: it has also increased over the last 24 months;
  • As for recruiters, they mainly look at the number of applications per job offer. With Meteojob, we are reaching an average of 4 applications per offer. It’s a good ratio,” explains the co-founder of CleverConnect.

Internet audience: Meteojob in the top 4 job boards in

The evolution of Meteojob’s Internet audience is being scrutinized.

“• We are among the top 4 job boards in France with strong competitive pressure, particularly from the Americans.
• As a Franco-European player, we are a real alternative to American players,” analyzes Anne Perrin based on Internet audience data measured by Médiamétrie.
