The image quality, in 1080p HD, is impeccable. Every detail counts and with the Blink Outdoor 4, there is no shortage of details. I was particularly impressed by the sharpness of the nighttime images. The infrared in this model does a remarkable job, even in almost complete darkness.
Every movement, even minimal, is detected. Sometimes it borders on overzealous, especially if you live in a busy neighborhood. Imagine receiving notifications every time the wind shakes the branches outside your window! Fortunately, you can easily adjust the camera’s sensitivity and motion detection zones, so you only receive useful alerts.
Its only fault? The obligation to take out a subscription for the storage and subsequent viewing of videos ($5/month per device, or $15/month for an unlimited number of cameras) or via the additional purchase of a local Sync module.
