Sophie Turner, who had two daughters with ex-husband Joe Jonas, Willa, 3, and Delphine, 18 months, finds that pregnancy and raising a newborn has transformed the way she looked at and treated her body. Suffering from bulimia since her youth, her self-esteem deteriorated even more when she became famous, due to criticism of her physique. Luckily, motherhood helped the “Game of Thrones” star chase away her demons.

“Having children was the best thing for my relationship with my body,” she confided in “Vogue”. I remember after I had my first baby, my therapist asked me how I felt physically. I thought, “Well, there’s milk leaking out of my breasts and I’ve been bleeding for a month.” Then she reminded me how amazing it was that our body could do this and how important it was to provide it with all the nutrients so it could do this.”

This therapist’s remark had a profound impact on Sophie. “I had never thought of my body that way before. As a young girl, especially growing up in the spotlight, you really judge yourself.” Now, the 28-year-old Briton is able to better manage her eating disorder. Remember that the young mother also revealed that her children had made her a better actress.
