Forensic specialist Philippe Boxho puts a scalpel to suspicious deaths

“I often tell my students: we must always relegate the surroundings as far as possible from the crime zone, because in 80% of cases, the culprit is there.” Although forensic medicine has become the object of all fantasies thanks to detective series, those who practice it in reality are rare. In Belgium, there are barely twelve practitioners. Philippe Boxho is one of them. He tells his job frankly in popular books, from the Flat Country to the borders of France. A success which is as much due to the public’s fascination with the morbid as to the author’s funny and educational personality. Philippe Boxho is our guest.

Is climate change to blame? One thing is certain, these rainy episodes bring at least one good news: the recharging of groundwater. What a glimpse of a summer far from the summer “water stress” of recent years? Nothing is less certain: not all territories are equal when it comes to drought. And then, why not take advantage of this lull to prepare, in the long term, for the new climate situation? Our guests debate it.
