Thanks to Haitong International Securities’ Jeff Pu, we now have even more iPhone 17 information to digest, including key specs and a new iPhone 17 Slim model (via 9to5Mac).

Starting with the most interesting information, Jeff Pu reports that Apple will replace the iPhone 17 Plus with a new model. Called iPhone 17 Slim, the phone will focus on finesse and offer a 6.6-inch screen, 8 GB of RAM and an A18 or A19 SoC. Additionally, the iPhone 17 Slim would feature an aluminum chassis.

Like the iPhone 17 Slim, the base iPhone 17 will be made of aluminum, will have 8 GB of memory and an A18 or A19 A18 or A19 SoC according to Jeff Pu. The analyst estimates that the screen size will remain 6.1 inches, as for the iPhone 15 (Available for renewal on Amazon).

For the Pro models, Apple would prepare the iPhone 17 Pro in aluminum and the iPhone 17 Pro Max in titanium with 6.3 and 6.9 inch screens, which corresponds to the announced dimensions of the iPhone 16 Pro and the ‘iPhone 16 Pro Max respectively. The iPhone 17 Pro/Max could also have 12 GB of RAM and an A19 Pro SoC. For reference, the 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max should retain the 8GB capacities of the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max (Buy Renewed on Amazon).

Finally, the iPhone 17 Pro Max, like the rest of the range, should be equipped with a 24 MP front camera. The device should also benefit from a lighter Dynamic Island thanks to Apple’s “metalens” proximity sensor.

Overall, the iPhone 17 series is looking good with improvements across the board. But since rumors are often misleading, take the information presented here with a grain of salt.
