There’s a lot of talk about the PS5 Pro at the moment and after all, it’s quite normal since many are wondering about the legitimacy of such a price. For its part, Capcom intends to exploit the power of the console to improve its games: proof of this is Dead Rising Remaster Deluxe.

A machine that sparks debate

A console at 899.99 euros is a first and it is Sony which has decided to take the plunge, at the risk of being slapped on the wrist by an entire community. As a reminder, the PS5 Pro will be a graphics card that is 67% more efficient than that of the traditional PS5: raw graphics performance will be 45% higher, while ray tracing should be 2 to 3 times more efficient. The CPU will go from 3.50 GHz to 3.85 GHz.

In addition, it is PSSR which is one of the major technical arguments: this Sony technology, modeled on Nvidia’s DLSS, allows a low definition image to be upscaled in real time into a very high definition image. Theoretically, this makes it possible to increase the resolution and framerate of a game while benefiting from advanced visual effects. This is particularly what would allow many games to be played in 4K and 60 FPS, where previously we had to choose between Performance mode and Loyalty mode.

Finally, the SSD goes from 1 TB to 2 TB, Wi-Fi 6 goes to Wi-Fi 7… and then here it is: the bill is steep since the PS5 Pro will cost 899.99 euros, its vertical support will cost 29.99 euros and its disc reader 129.99 euros. So yes, it’s debated, but the machine should actually change the situation for certain titles.

Many games have already announced their optimization for the PS5 Pro and among them, those from Capcom. For example, we already know that Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil Village and Dragon’s Dogma II will benefit from enhanced visual effects. In addition, it has also been confirmed that Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster will suffer the same fate (pretty cool, we’re not going to complain about it). The publisher has notably illustrated the difference between the PS5 version and the PS5 version through a precise plan, to be found below.

We are therefore not only talking about resolution and framerate, but also about pure and hard graphics with completely changed depth effects and ultra-realistic reflections, which therefore belongs more to ray tracing technology.

As a reminder, Dead Rising Remaster Deluxe is a remake of the very first Dead Rising (originally released in 2006), here remade under the RE Engine. This redesign was released in 2024 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series. We imagine that beyond the simple screenshot, it will be necessary for Capcom to make a slightly more concrete demonstration, with supporting video, to promote the PS5 Pro update of the games concerned. In the meantime, know that the machine will be released commercially on November 7, 2024.
