After developing its range of premium Momentum headphones and earphones, the German manufacturer Sennheiser is now seeking to diversify its positioning in the mid-range. In addition to its Sennheiser Accentum Wireless and Sennheiser Accentum Plus headphones, the manufacturer has just presented its new Sennheiser Accentum True Wireless headphones at the High End show in Munich.

Unlike the headphones in the Momentum range – such as the Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 4 – the new Accentum True Wireless do not adopt a square design, but a tapered one, designed to fit the shape of the ear. They are also IP54 certified, so can withstand splashes or rain, and come with four pairs of tips.

Headphones compatible with the new Bluetooth audio standard

The Sennheiser Accentum True Wireless also feature dynamic transducers measuring 7 mm in diameter capable, on paper, of restoring a frequency response of 5 to 21,000 Hz. As for Bluetooth audio codecs, Sennheiser announces that its new headphones are compatible not only with AAC, SBC and aptX, but also with the LC3 codec, integrated into the LE Audio Bluetooth profile. As such, the headphones also benefit from Auracast technology, also integrated into the BLE Audio profile.

Active noise reduction is also included, whether for listening to music or during phone calls, thanks to two microphones per earpiece. To stay aware of your surroundings or communicate with someone, a transparent mode is also offered.

Concerning autonomy, the 55 mAh battery integrated into each earphone is supposed to allow an autonomy of 8 hours without noise reduction and 28 hours in total, counting on the battery integrated into the case. The case is also compatible with Qi wireless induction charging, in addition to wired charging via USB-C cable.

The Sennheiser Accentum True Wireless headphones will be available from May 21 at a price of 199.90 euros. They will be offered in two colors: black or white. For comparison, the manufacturer’s high-end models, the Momentum True Wireless 4, were launched at 299 euros.
