Samsung announces the addition of three new languages for Galaxy AI: Arabic, Indonesian and Russian, as well as three new dialects: Australian English, Cantonese and Quebec French. This will enable even more Galaxy users around the world to access the power of mobile AI. Additionally, Samsung plans to add four more languages later this year, including Romanian, Turkish, Dutch, Swedish, Traditional Chinese and European Portuguese.

“With the language expansion of Galaxy AI, even more people have access to mobile AI and even more Galaxy users can communicate without language barriers,” said TM Roh, president and head of Mobile eXperience at Samsung . “We will continue to innovate in mobile AI, to give our users the tools to realize their full potential.”

Galaxy AI Features

– Live Translate offers real-time voice and text translations during phone calls, making it easier than ever to, for example, book a hotel room abroad or chat with grandparents in their mother tongue.

– Interpreter provides instant translations of live conversations via split screen, allowing people face-to-face to read a translation of what the other is saying.

– Chat Assist helps perfect the tone of a conversation with context-sensitive suggestions. This way, users can rest assured that the communication sounds as intended, whether it’s a polite message to a colleague or a short, punchy sentence for social media.

– Note Assist creates summaries, pre-made templates and cover pages, allowing users to make their day even more productive.

– Transcript Assist uses AI and speech recognition technology to transcribe, summarize and even translate voice recordings.

– Browsing Assist creates concise summaries of news articles or web pages, saving users time while staying informed about what’s happening in the world.

Since April, new Galaxy AI languages and dialects have been downloaded as a language pack through the Settings app.
