During its latest State of Play, PlayStation unveiled a new collection for the DualSense wireless controller: Chroma Edition. Three colors are available and if you want to add a controller to your collection, here they are for pre-order.
If the main announcement made recently by Sony is the PlayStation 5 Pro and its 30 Years Edition, the manufacturer has also lifted the veil on the new Chroma Collection. In this collection, we find DualSense wireless controllers and faceplates for PlayStation 5 in colors that shine, sparkle and change color from every angle. If one of the three colors tempts you, pre-orders are already open for an official release on November 7.
Where to pre-order Chroma special edition PS5 controllers?
Available for pre-order, the Chroma Special Edition PS5 controllers come in 3 colors: Chroma Indigo, Chroma Pearl and Chroma Teal. They are priced at 79.99 euros and will be delivered on November 7, 2024 for the Indigo and Pearl colors, and January 23, 2025 for the Teal color.

Multicolored controllers that work
Sony has created a DualSense Chroma edition for us with three eye-catching colors and very colorful shades. Chroma Indigo changes from deep blue to a vibrant purple. Chroma Teal shines refreshing green highlights. As for the Chroma Pearl, we are treated to a palette of pink and cream shades.
Sony’s most popular controller
In hand, the controller is a little gem of ergonomics with redesigned dimensions and a textured coating which make the grip more comfortable than with the last DualShock. It offers immersive technologies: it has haptic feedback, which allows you to feel various sensations through the controller, for example, if your character is running on snow or asphalt. There are also adaptive triggers, the R2 and L2 keys, equipped with a motor to regulate the intensity. It’s also very convincing with shooting and racing games. Resistance gives the feeling of actually doing the action.
Long closed to the Sony ecosystem, the DualSense is a game changer. It is possible to use it wired with its USB-C cable or wirelessly using Bluetooth with a Windows 10 or Windows 11 PC, a Mac or an Android, iOS or iPadOS device. However, only a few games on the Steam platform are able to take advantage of its full potential, especially when it comes to immersive technologies.
