Low price, but does the most
The Samsung Galaxy A25 is perhaps more discreet than its big brother, the Samsung Galaxy S24, but it is also much cheaper and offers a technical sheet in line with its price placement: very honest. For the price, you will not be disappointed. And it starts with its screen which is certainly its best asset: a 6.5″ Super AMOLED panel that displays 2340 x 1080 pixels with a refresh rate that you can increase up to 120 Hz.
Enough to enjoy your series and films in good conditions, and even a few small games to relax from time to time. Don’t be too greedy though because the Exynos 1280 processor, here accompanied by 6 GB of RAM, has difficulty in particular with 3D games. For example, if you want to play Genshin Impact, you will have to resolve to put the graphics in “Low” and lower the FPS to 30.
It does better on photos and software part
Overall, the overall experience of the Samsung Galaxy A25 is pleasant. This is partly due to the combination of One UI 6 and Android 14, which allows for beautiful animations and smooth transitions, a clean interface, and advanced customization, be it icons, theme, etc.
On the photo side it’s not too bad either with a triple rear sensor of 50, 8 and 2 Mpx which allows you to film at max in 4K@30 fps, and the front sensor of 13 Mpx for beautiful selfies and quality video. We also really appreciate that it offers a microSD slot to expand the memory. This allows you to store your videos, photos and personal files on it and leave the smartphone’s memory only for applications.
When it came out, it lost the duel against a Nothing Phone (2a) sold for 30 euros more, but which was more powerful. Today, at this price, it is clearly making a resounding comeback and entering our good graces.
