Since yesterday, April 25, Honor has extended its mid-range offering with the Honor 200 Lite, a particularly thin and light smartphone and taking advantage of a pre-order offer for its launch! Instead of a starting price of 329.90 euros, the Honor 200 Lite is available for 299.90 euros, not to mention that bonuses are offered upon purchase.

The Honor 200 Lite has been available since April 25 on the website of the Chinese manufacturer, which is adding a new mid-range smartphone to its catalog, and it has already been named the thinnest and lightest smartphone of the year. We give it the air of OnePlus or Redmi, in any case, its technical sheet is quite representative of a smartphone at 300 euros. And who says launch says pre-order bonus! Until May 15the Honor 200 Lite benefits from a reduction of 30 euros and a connected bracelet and a pair of wireless headphones are offered for purchase.

What to expect from the Honor 200 Lite?

  • The thinnest and lightest smartphone in its category
  • A large AMOLED screen in Full HD+
  • A 108 Mpx main sensor
  • A MediaTek Dimensity 6080 as SoC

Instead of the usual 329.90 euros, the Honor 200 Lite is now available on sale for 299.90 euros in the official store with the promo code AFR200L. In addition, a connected bracelet Honor Band 9 and a pair of Honor Choice Earbuds X5 are available for purchase.

A new finesse champion

Is the Honor 200 Lite a new smartphone? Not so much, it would actually be the European adaptation of a model already released in China and called Honor X50i+, the only difference lies in the shape of the photo module which is rectangular on the Honor 200 Lite. Design-wise, it does not reinvent the wheel and if we wait for a first handling to get an impression, it already ranks as a particularly thin and light smartphone with a weight of 166 g and a thickness of 6.78 mm. It’s better than all its competitors, and the Chinese manufacturer enhances its latest addition with 5-star robustness certified by SGS.

As for the 6.7-inch screen, Honor opts for an AMOLED panel with Full HD+ definition (2,412 x 1,080 pixels) and 20.1:9 format. We should thus benefit from a contrast tending towards infinity and perfect blacks, especially since the Chinese manufacturer is providing complete coverage of the DCI-P3 color range. Apart from these elements, few details are communicated on the technical sheet. We don’t know the refresh rate, but we can expect 90 Hz, or even 120 Hz with a little luck.

A very basic technical sheet

On the back, the camera hosts a basic three-sensor setup where, as you might have guessed, only the main sensor would be worthy of interest. In addition to a 108 Mpx (f/1.75) wide-angle main sensor, we have a 5 Mpx (f/2.2) ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 2 Mpx (f/2.2) macro sensor. ,4). There is also a 50 Mpx (f/2.1) front sensor, which should allow you to take superb selfies. We’ll have to wait for a test to decide, but we already know what the macro sensor will give…

The Honor 200 Lite is based on a MediaTek SoC, a Dimensity 6080 coupled with 8 GB of RAM. This chip has never arrived in before, but according to benchmarks, it would be a little more powerful than the Snapdragon 685 which notably equips the Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 4G. Clearly, the performance should be pleasant for basic use, but not for running demanding games. Finally, a 4,500 mAh battery is included as well as so-called “fast” 35 W charging.
