For the 2024 edition, the “4 Days of Dunkerque – Grand Prix des Hauts de France” cycling race will crisscross the region over 6 stages hosted by the towns of Dunkerque, Le Touquet, Wimereux, Abbeville, St Laurent-Blangy, Bouchain, Mazingarbe, Pont à Marcq, Arques, Cassel and Loon Plage for a total of 1020.25 kilometers.

THEs routes are articulated Thus :

1st step – Tuesday 14May 2024 : Dunkirk (North) – Le Touquet-Paris-Plage (Pas-de-Calais) over 173 km
2nd step – 15May 2024 : Wimereux (Pas-de-Calais) – Abbeville (Sommes) over 184.3 km
3rd step – 16 May 2024 : Saint Laurent Blangy (Pas-de-Calais) – Bouchain (North) over 165.1 km
4th step – 17 May 2024 : Mazingarbe (Pas-de-Calais) Pont-à-Marcq(North) over 171.3 km
5th step – 18 May 2024 : Arques (Pas-de-Calais) – Cassel (North) over 179.1 km
6th step – sunreed 19May 2024 : Loon-Plage (North) – Dunkirk (North) over 176.8 km
The race will cause traffic disruptions, with the routes taken by cyclists being neutralized at least 30 minutes before the runners pass. However, by municipal decree, access further upstream of the race may be closed, the public is invited to obtain information from the town halls concerned.

Generally speaking, traffic will not be closed for the passage of the advertising caravan, but may be facilitated. Parking is prohibited along the route, on motorway ramps or in emergency lanes. Traffic will be restored after the runners have passed.

Pre-signaling has been put in place to prevent traffic disruptions. Road users are advised to take all necessary measures to anticipate or delay their travel in the affected sectors.

Some safety instructions

Road users must comply with the instructions given by the police and gendarmerie services or by the race marshals and marshals set up by the organizer.

Spectators are asked to respect the basic rules of caution when the caravan and the riders pass, and in particular to hold young children by the hand, not to cross the road and not to push the cyclists.
