Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro review: larger, more powerful, and very convincing
Descriptive text here

Equipped with a fairly imposing block, the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro houses two photo modules: a 50 Mpx sensor flanked by a wide-angle lens opening at f/1.8, and a more anecdotal 2 Mpx sensor, dedicated to depth measurement.

Main module: 50 Mpx, f/1.8

If photography is not the main purpose of a tablet, it is clear that the Pad 6S Pro does quite well with decent daytime shots. We note a better level of detail than on the Galaxy S9 FE, which however only has a single 8 Mpx rear photo sensor. We also note some artifacts and other chromatic aberrations here and there, and a tendency towards overexposure. That being said, the images remain usable and the device plays its role correctly.

At night, however, digital noise remains perceptible, although attenuated by discreet software smoothing. If the contrast is better managed, we notice even more saturated colors than in photos taken in good light conditions. Although the result is not dishonorable, we should avoid shooting in the dark.

Front module, portrait and video mode

With its 32 Mpx selfie camera, the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro produces satisfactory self-portraits, if you ignore the default Beautification mode, and is convincing in videoconferencing with the FocusFrame function which maintains the framing on the user.

On the video side, the device can film in 1080p 30 fps on the front and up to 4K 60 fps on the back. The exposure is correct, but the constant focus and the lack of stabilization, associated with the XL format of the tablet, make shooting hazardous.
