Earlier this year, OnePlus made a big splash in the Wear OS smartwatch market. The Chinese manufacturer unveiled its OnePlus Watch 2, a smartwatch offering more than two days of battery life in intensive mode.

Since then, OnePlus has released a slightly lighter version of its watch, the OnePlus Watch 2R, but without sacrificing its battery life. It must be said that these two days of battery life are due to the use of not only two processors, but also two operating systems running in parallel: Wear OS for applications, and RTOS for traditional use.

Shortly after the announcement of the OnePlus Watch 2, it was the Oppo brand that surprised by unveiling its own version of the connected watch, the Oppo Watch X. Remember that OnePlus and Oppo are now part of the same entity, Oplus, and that they share a large part of their research and development teams.

Until now, things were relatively clear, with the OnePlus Watch 2 launched in Western markets and the Oppo Watch X for emerging markets. However, given the success of the OnePlus Watch 2, Oppo seems to have wanted to take advantage of the situation and launch its Oppo Watch X in France.

Same design and features as the OnePlus Watch 2

We are dealing here with a watch that is almost identical to the OnePlus Watch 2, both in terms of software and features. The Oppo Watch X is distinguished almost exclusively by the Oppo logo on the back. Of course, the virtual dials are also adapted to the brand and also mention Oppo and not OnePlus.

For the other features, we are entitled to a design and specifications similar to those of the OnePlus Watch 2. The Oppo Watch X thus embeds a round Amoled screen of 1.43 inches in diameter, an optical heart rate sensor, a Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 chip and dual-frequency GPS compatibility. The watch is announced with up to 4 days of autonomy and 12 days in energy saving mode.

Oppo Watch X price and availability

The Oppo Watch X will be available in France by November. It will be launched in France at a price of 329.99 euros in two colors: black or silver.

For comparison, the OnePlus Watch 2, initially launched at 329 euros, is now less than 270 euros. On the other hand, the OnePlus Watch 2R, which is lighter, is around 240 euros.
