LAC-SAINT-JEAN – The Sports Experts stores on Promenades du boulevard in Dolbeau-Mistassini and on Boulevard Marcotte in Roberval recently changed hands. These two stores, specializing in sports equipment and clothing, were previously managed by Stéphane Leroyer since 2005.
Joanie Veilleux and Jade Leroyer acquired the two organizations just a few days ago. Madame Leroyer aimed to continue her father’s work, while Madame Veilleux, who has 17 years of experience, aspired to take on new challenges.
“We are a team, so we will not be attached to a store, we will work jointly. Jade Leroyer is not yet in post due to her maternity, but she will arrive during next year, so we will certainly not make any major changes in her absence,” mentions Joanie Veilleux, co-owner of Sports Experts Dolbeau- Mistassini as well as that of Roberval.
Ensuring the transition
The change of ownership of the two Sports Experts stores was planned in advance to allow an easy transition within the two establishments for another five years. This will allow the next generation to benefit from Mr. Leroyer’s knowledge and know-how for a few additional years.
“Having worked alongside Stéphane Leroyer for many years, we certainly share entrepreneurial values and a common vision. Our objective is to continue its work, and together, we are convinced of being able to continue to offer quality and personalized service to our clients,” concludes Ms. Veilleux.
