WABetaInfo has struck again! The site which specializes in WhatsApp betas has this time discovered that the Meta platform is currently preparing a feature that will transform WhatsApp into a telephone: a dialing keyboard!
Will WhatsApp put an end to traditional telephony? No need to create new contacts, you now just need to enter the telephone number of your interlocutor to make a call.
The idea is of course particularly attractive internationally, since we retain the general sensation of making a telephone call while avoiding having to pay additional costs. All provided, of course, that you are connected to WiFi.
As for the question of when this new functionality will be deployed, you should know that it is still in development and has not yet reached the testing phase with beta testers. Based on the usual pace of development and deployment of official WhatsApp, we will have to wait a few more weeks…
