This Friday, September 20, 2024, the GIP-FCIP and Syref welcomed at the François de Mahy vocational school in Saint-Pierre, 12 professionals leaving for training in handling hydrocarbon, CO2 and industrial and commercial ammonia cold production systems in . The opportunity to give them their mobility kit, consisting of a mobility booklet, plane and train tickets, and the necessary information on the details of the stay, and to make a final point with them before their departure tomorrow evening. In a context of energy transition, professionals in the production of cold, both commercial and industrial, are required to develop the techniques and raw materials (fluids) used until now. Alternative solutions must be applied but require learning the methods of use and implementation. To date, no training in the territory allows for the professionalization of actors in the fields of CO2 and Ammonia.

It is in this context that the GIP-FCIP, in partnership with the SYREF, has set up this mobility project, to allow professionals on the island, business leaders, employees, teachers and even a young apprentice in the Professional Title of Air Conditioning Installer Repairer, to benefit from training to acquire these new techniques. This mobility is possible thanks to the co-financing of the Skills Operators (OPCO), the Training Insurance Fund for Artisanal Business Leaders, and the Ecoubat system (Open School of Tropical Building).

For 2 weeks, these 12 professionals will attend training modules at our partners Cryoforma (whose president, Simon Lor-Saw is Meilleur Ouvrier de Refrigeration Engineer 2019) and Bejeir Ref Academy. A real investment in the future for companies that will return with the skills needed to face the energy and economic changes to which their profession is subject, and for teachers who will return with the skills to train the future professionals of tomorrow.
