Airpods, video games… Vinted is (officially) launching into electronic products

-

Already offering electronic products on its platform, Vinted has opened a category dedicated to them on its site.

Known for selling second-hand clothing, Vinted offers many items on its platform, including electronics. Wanting to make these more visible on its app, it launched a dedicated category, called “Electronics”.

“This new category now improves the visibility of second-hand electronic devices, making them easier to resell,” Vinted said in a statement,

A poorly listed category

Concretely, instead of searching for a specific product on Vinted, users can now click on the “Electronics” category, then directly on the type of product that interests them (video games, headphones, chargers, etc.). There are also video games.

However, the products included in these subcategories are not always well listed. In “E-reader” for example, we find shoes, binoculars or even bookmarks. Similarly, the subcategory “Portable radios and speakers” includes objects that should not be there, such as iPhone cases or Airpods Pro.

The arrival of this new category is part of a series of updates aimed at improving the user experience. To this end, Vinted has also launched a “Designers” tab that groups together second-hand luxury fashion items in order to meet the growing demand for designer products on its platform.
