The Young Boys are one game away from phase of the Champions League. After the 3:2 win in the first leg, a draw against Galatasaray Istanbul is enough for the Bernese to qualify for the premier class. We will report live.

47. Minute

YB immediately on the offensive again. Ganvoula pushes through on the left, but his pass to the middle finds no taker. Seconds later, Niasse has a shot on goal, but from a tight angle. No problem for Muslera.

Halftime start

And then the ball rolls again in Ali Sami Yen.

46. Minute

The Bernese team goes into the second 45 minutes with the same personnel. The Turks, on the other hand, make two substitutions: Köhn and Ziyech make way for Jelert and Berkan Kutlu.

Easier said than done, but if the Bernese keep the score at zero for another 45 minutes, they will be in the Champions League.

As in the first leg in Bern, the Young Boys were convincing in the first half in Istanbul. Marvin Keller hardly had to intervene – while his teammates created a number of good opportunities. Ganvoula came closest to taking the lead in the 30th minute when his header hit the post. Colley converted the follow-up shot, but was offside.

Halftime end

YB doesn’t let anything go wrong before the break.

There are three minutes added on in the first half.

44. Minute

The few YB fans in Istanbul had to hold their breath for a moment. Monteiro lost the ball during the build-up play – and then things got dangerous, and the Bernese only managed to clear the situation with great difficulty and little style.

41. Minute

Colley tries a direct free kick from around 20 meters, but the ball whizzes just past the goal.

40. Minute

Now Hadjam intercepts a ball – and runs with it almost across the entire pitch before he is fouled just in front of the Turkish penalty area.

39. Minute

On the other side, Camara strongly prevents a Galatasaray attack in the YB penalty area.

39. Minute

Ugrinic takes the resulting free kick and heads it onto Camara’s head. Another great chance for Bern, but once again they are almost too careless with it.

38. Minute

Niasse has already passed, but is then brought down by Nelsson. So the score is tied again in terms of yellow cards.

36. Minute

Icardi crosses into the box, where Kerem Aktürkoglu takes the ball spectacularly on the volley. The best chance so far for the Turks.

33. Minute

The first yellow card of the game was given to Ganvoula, a Bern player. He had extended his elbow too far during a tackle.

30. Minute

Colley had a very impressive game today, but he and the Bernese in general were unable to get the final pass right. YB won another corner. Blum brought it to the middle. Ganvoula headed the ball onto the post and Colley scored. Unfortunately, the Bernese was offside. The goal didn’t count. The VAR confirmed this.

23. Minute

Ziyech crosses to the middle – Batshuayi heads the ball. But it goes wide of the goal. In the first leg, the Galatasaray striker scored two goals as a substitute shortly after coming on. Today he is playing from the start – and has hardly been able to make an impact so far.

23. Minute

8 to 4 shots for the Young Boys, 4:0 shots on goal for the Bernese – these are the shot statistics after 23 minutes.

22. Minute

Blum remains down briefly after a duel with Sara – but can continue playing without medical attention.
