After more than 60 years, the chip manufacturer Zweifel is separating from Pomy. Hans Heinrich Zweifel invented the name Pomy himself, as an abbreviation for French fries chip. Now the rebranding: The brand is now called Zweifel Chips & Snacks. In a press release, the company quotes CEO Christoph Zweifel: “With the two brands Zweifel and Berger, we offer snacks in the salty and sweet ranges and thus cover every snacking moment.”
The new corporate identity of Zweifel Chips & Snacks AG is the direct result of this strategic development into a comprehensive snack provider. With this strategic reorientation, Zweifel is reacting to the changing consumer behavior, snacking around the clock. “We see ourselves as a 24/7 snacking provider. This means that we can offer the right snack for every snacking occasion.” Zweifel’s logo is also changing. Instead of orange as before, the color is now red.
With the new corporate brand, Zweifel also wants to present itself more strongly as a company to the outside world in the future, the statement continues. “As a company, we want to continue to attract the best specialists and reaffirm our commitment to sustainability,” says CEO Christoph Zweifel.
