Will Lindsey Vonn make a sensational ski comeback in winter? There is currently wild speculation about this in the World Cup world. Now the American herself is fueling the rumors.

Last week, a report from the Swiss tabloid newspaper caused concern Blick caused quite a stir. Accordingly, Lindsey Vonn is planning a comeback in the World Cup – at the age of 39 and with an artificial knee joint that was only inserted in the spring of this year. The 82-time World Cup winner has not yet commented on this, but with her most recent posting on Instagram, the US lady is causing the rumor mill to simmer.
“Every day is a victory!” Vonn writes about a photo that shows her ice bathing in New Zealand – where she has been skiing in the past few days, as videos on her account show. “I am proud of how far I have come in my life. I have experienced many ups and downs but nothing has broken my spirit. I thank my mother for that.”
After that, things get cryptic. “My new knee is now a part of me. I feel like a whole new chapter is opening before my eyes,” Vonn writes. Is this chapter the comeback? The 39-year-old doesn’t elaborate, but writes: “Doing the things you love is truly a blessing and I don’t take it for granted. I don’t know exactly what lies ahead, but I know that I am healthy, happy and grateful.”
It’s speculation and not boring
There are numerous comments under the posting speculating whether Lindsey Vonn will actually make her comeback. If that were the case, it would be a huge sensation. In any case, it won’t be boring with the ski icon.
